Amazing Grace

Romans 5:8  But God commendeth  His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.    This passage tells us that we might be able to stretch our imagination to the point that we might accept the idea that Christ could sacrifice Himself for good men; people of sterling character, worthy of praise.  But angels stand in awe unable to comprehend that He would sacrifice Himself and die in the place of people of bad character, miserable sinners whose thoughts, manner of life and character tend only to self-love, self serving, bitterness ,hatred, strife and all manner of evil; but He did so, and that will furnish us with matter for praise and rejoicing throughout eternity. Precious Jesus!  Marvelous Saviour!
